CureVac AG is a global biopharmaceutical company researching and developing novel drugs based on the natural molecule Messenger RNA (mRNA). Our focus is on prophylactic vaccines, innovative cancer immunotherapies and protein-based therapies. Associate Director Licensing (f/m/d)

Identify early stage and technology collaboration opportunities across different therapeutic areas at CureVac via interactions with pharma and biotech companies, governmental/non-governmental departments and academic institutions
Draft, negotiate and conclude license agreements
Maintain excellent relationships with Research Heads and Heads of Business Development in the industry as well as leading university scientists
Lead cross-functional teams responsible for due diligence and management approvals for partnering projects
Work on several projects with tight timelines simultaneously and transparently

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in natural sciences with knowledge of molecular biology or related disciplines
MBA is an advantage
Several years of experience and track record for licensing within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
Experience to lead negotiations with academic tech transfer departments, biotech and pharma companies
Understanding of scientific, medical, regulatory and commercial aspects for executing license agreements
Ability to quickly come to grips with new technologies and drug development strategies in a fast-changing environment
In the face of obstacles or barriers, demonstration of persistence and resilience
Integrate complex information (i.e., technical and financial) when generating proposals
Good understanding of the latest market activities
Excellent stakeholder management skills and a high level of intercultural and interpersonal skills
International experience is an advantage
Fluency in English; German language skills are an asset
