Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your new role, you are accountable for the creation and refinement of an Early Clinical Trials department that aims to drive early clinical development innovation and execution excellence to accelerate trial speed and patient value.
  • Furthermore, you develop and refine a global early clinical development execution strategy, incl. strategic direction for CRO/vendor cooperation and oversight.
  • One of your key tasks is the oversight and accountability for early clinical operations strategy and its implementation, deliverables (timelines, quality) of early clinical trials starting from First-In-Man (FIM) to Proof-of-Clinical-Principal (PoCP) milestone.
  • Additionally, you support global ClinPharm profiling activities from PoCP to submission and beyond.


  • MD; board certification in Clinical Pharmacology or equivalent in a medical specialty
  • Proven track record in (early) Clinical Development
  • Deep knowledge of clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and toxicology
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to create, manage and cultivate change, to explore innovative ideas for the future, and to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong patient focus
  • Excellent interpersonal, active listening, and influencing skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
