The Department of Internal Medicine II (Hematology, Oncology, Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology) is seeking a
(Senior) Scientist (f/m/d) and/or (Advanced) Clinical Scientist (f/m/d)
to join our team of physicians, scientists, clinician-scientists, study nurses and technicians in our Cell Therapy Unit that is shared with the Department of Pediatrics. Successful candidates will participate in basic and preclinical research, the development and in-house GMP production of novel cellular therapies (engineered hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells and lymphocytes such as CAR-T cells, NK cells etc.) and in the design and implementation of clinical trials for adult patients with cancer treated at our Department.
Exceptional candidates interested in other areas in oncology, onco-immunology and clinical immunology are also welcome to apply. We offer a 3 years position (100%) that upon evaluation can be extended to a tenured position as research group leader / (advanced) clinician scientist or other academic position, or respectively to a staff scientist position.
A PhD, MD or equivalent degree(s) are required.
Knowledge and experience in molecular and cell biology are mandatory. Knowledge and/or prior experience in immunology, cell therapy and/or gene engineering, GMP and/or clinical trials are a plus.
